Robert Eujean Ogden is an author living in Los Angeles, CA. Since counting syllables on his fingers as a child, he has delighted in the arrangement of words. In 2025 he will release his debut novel, Eclipse of the Mourning Star. In the past, Robert's career has spanned many disciplines, all of which derive from the world of storytelling. He has worked in various roles for motion picture studios productions with DreamWorks Animation, Ikoya Productions, Fox TV’s Nanny 911. He has worked with Academy Award Nominees on films such as Megamind, Kung Fu Panda 2, How To Train Your Dragon, ​and Shrek The Musical.

Robert received his BFA from SCAD majoring in Film Production with Minor Studies in Sound Design, Sculpture, and Art History. He also attended San Francisco Academy of Art focusing on an MFA Degree in Directing Motion Pictures. At SAE Institute he taught courses in the fields of Sound for Film and Music Production.


In 2014, he founded What A Day Productions within the legendary halls of SF's historical Hyde Street Studios.  He self-produced seven albums of original music over the years - available on all platforms as Swallow Key. Through What A Day he has produced videography ranging from product sizzle reels to music videos.

Robert's mission in life is to help others with his arts as he strives to contribute a positive impact on the human experience. With the completion of his first book, he has pulled focus to his lifelong passion and embarked on the adventure of writing.
